Is it a good idea to ask recruiter for an e4 interview to boost your chance

Despite many years yoe I am not confident on my sys design so willing to accept lowered pay at e4 if it means an easier interview. Is that advisable?

E4 hires have 6 halves (I think) to make it to E5 or they get a lot of scrutiny. Only fair to have the same standards for external hires.
