Major movie production companies are removing their contents from Netflix and starting their own streaming companies. Even Friends will be removed next month.
Netflix saw this early and started creating their own contents and adding international contents but is that enough? Can Netflix survive mostly based on its own contents?

My bet is Netflix will eventually merge with a studio or media company, then everyone will be fine.
But the content producers don't have a choice: comcast OWNS the infrastructure to deliver that content to home. No one else can build that. Netflix has a much smaller moat, you can stream from anyone. So it's not hard for a producer to pull their content from Netflix.
My money is on Disney/ABC/Marvel/ESPN being the most serious and threatening contender so far.
