Typical total comp for a UX or SUX Designer role at Amazon?
So are you making $270 at Yahoo? Good on ya if so!
$170
That’s way more in line with what I’ve heard and seen.
This was a year ago but I was flat out told cash salary was capped at $165k, and they would try to match or exceed whatever you have currently through RSUs. Back loaded RSUs.
L5: 125-145k base, 160-200k TC L6: 145-170k base, 200-250k TC
So if I were to join today as a regular (non-senior) UX Designer position I could get up to $200k TC? Seems high, or maybe not?
We normally don’t bring folks in externally at the top of the range. I’ve seen 180k being offered though.
As an L6, I was offered $160k base , $260k TC. My advice would be get an offer from another top tech company. That's what I did. When I gave Amazon my other offer, they matched it.
I was offered 190k base. About 270k tc though. However, they were willing to go higher for Sr UX position and I didn't bother negotiating because I went with a different company.
Even for Bay Area Amazon salary is capped at 185k, interesting you can get a base higher than cap
How many levels are before Sr designer ?
