Screwed up on salary expectation with manager - is there a way to fix?
Before the interview, he asked salary expectation. I asked him what's his range, and he said he's open. I was on the spot and freaked out so I said 100-115k.
Then after the interview, he brought that up again, and I fucked up again, I said yeah, but I'm expecting a promotion at work so that's the bare minimum for me to consider, so realistically I'm looking at 110k-130k, and he said yeah that's in line.
I think I undersold myself. He's the one who poached me (I didn't apply) and I did pretty well on the interview. Considering that I may be getting a promotion, then even 130k for the new job won't cut it (but I already used this argument to ask for that range).
So if they give me an offer anywhere between 110-130k, how can I ask for more without sounding like a moron?
Note: I don't want to take anything under 140k, so if the manager walks away I'm fine with that. However, I still don't want to sound like a moron when I ask for that even though I already said my range is 110-130k.
So the question is, what do I when the manager comes back with an offer between the 110-130k range I told him aboutm

Sleep over it for two days. And then tell your current company going to ideas the offer.
But how do I explain to him why I want 140k now, since I've already used the argument of my promotion? Is "I did well on the interview" really an argument?
