Hi, my uber East order was delivered late by 45 minutes from their original estimate and 15 minutes past latest delivery estimate. Should I request a refund? Will I get it? What should I do to maximize my chances of getting a refund?
I’ve gotten partial refund or $5-10 credit when complaining about delay, was way more than 15 mins tho. You can always dispute on your credit card as a last resort if you really felt wronged (e.g. If food needs to be delivered within that time, like soup that dissolves into mush or hot coffee or something like that)

They will not refund shit, they're the worst in terms of compensation for being late or randomly cancelling orders. I had one order say the guy had picked it up and was near my house then it just cancelled and their response was they were refunding the cost of the order I didn't get, like yeah obviously and...? No and. :/
You can get full refund just hit cancel my order and chat with support. You can also get 20% off your order if you want to keep it and wait for it.
If you go credit card refund route, credit card will surely refund you the money, but after 2 months you will see the amount pending in UberEats !! You will need to make the "refund"payment first before you can make any new transactions!! UberEats doesnt let go money so easily!!

was it late, as in the food was made and sat around forever? keep in mind your tip is shown to your driver. if your tip is bad for the distance it'll sit around and uber will raise the base pay painfully slowly. if it's late, but the food was just slow to be prepared? definitely not. restaurants are absolutely slammed all the time now from high volume of orders+dine ins while they are likely understaffed. if it's late + quality sucks + you included a decent tip, yeah. complain. theyll pretty much comp you without any discussion the first few times.
Uber customer service has been the worst of it's kind for past 2yrs... Reps copy paste their responses, didn't even read your concern! They are money suckers and don't care about customer service or late delv or poor serv. Recently they started showing increased food item prices than actual resturant prices for same item, n still charging conv fees.
