Starting Uber soon! I heard there's a separate promo for employees to commute home for free if they leave after a certain hour, any truth to that?
Past 10pm
"Uber Safe Rides" Free Uber to anywhere after 10pm from office locations. Not something I use regularly, but a good program nonetheless. Sometimes you get into "the zone" and just want to finish up a project.
And I think it was the inspiration, and therefore the dogfooding program, for Uber 4 Business.
It's for girls to get home safely
There’s also a program for free trips between Caltrain and the SF offices
Wait what's that program?
Uber "Last Mile" Program Free Uber trips to and from major Caltrain stations to Uber office and back (e.g. SF Caltrain to 1455, 1455 to SF Caltrain)
It's not meant to be a perk you use. It's meant to keep you safe if you've had to stay at work really late. I've used it once, and it was because I lost track of time playing pool and drinking beer in the office, after work.
Do employees get credits for Uber Eats too?
I personally use the commuter benefit to put pre tax money on a debit card (up to 260 dlls ) for pools towards commuting back and forth to the office on top of the credits we get I end up with over 100 dlls in credits by the end of the month so I order pizza or Ice cream
This program has also been abused by a bunch of folks over the years. They go out to happy hours and come chill at the office until 10. Probably still happens but props to the people who live this lifestyle
Yes. There is.
