Uber Is Planning IPO Price Range of About $44 to $50 a Share https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-04-25/uber-is-said-to-plan-ipo-price-range-of-about-44-to-50-a-share What do you guys think about this?
Valuation still feels high to me. 80 -90 billion?
Depends how many shares they are selling. Might just mean more dilution
Uber is a long term behemoth.
They are making huge losses.. It will be a while before they start making profit
I don't really understand how the ipo per share pricing is done. Didn't the recent Careem purchase happen at valuation of $55/per share? So in that case aren't the folks at Careem who got Uber shares screwed now? Anyone understands this better?
There’s a 10 day road show that starts from Monday where Uber’s CEO and other C-Level executives will convince big investors to buy into to the IPO. If the demand is high, then they’ll increase the price eventually.
But I still don't understand the company evaluation. How is $44-$50 evaluated to $90-$100 billion. I thought Uber evaluation at the time of Careem acquisition was around $65-70 billion.
They also have the cash portion of the purchase
Had been hoping for higher. Now hoping for a bigger pop
