Being an outsider I'm curious to know how the internal culture at Uber has changed with everything that has happened? Have employees been leaving?
It's getting better... slowly but surely
Its been always cool place for me. guess it depends on teams.
Uber was overall a good place to work, but there were some problems in some parts. They are making large changes. It's becoming pretty good now.
^ don't trust anything HR bag says
Hasn't changed anything for me in eng. I love it
There are good teams and bad teams - as there are in all companies. I love my team and am happy with the actions being taken by HR and leadership.
Ive been through the ups and the lowest of lows. Best it's been since the shitstorm hit
Even after today's news about benchmark suing kalanick? That seems to suggest quite a toxic boardroom drama!
That has literally zero impact on our day to day unless we choose to let it bother us
And if you look into the details of the drama, there isn't a single investor looking to sell Uber stock at $45B, which nicely validates a much higher valuation for us.
Lots of changes. And yeah attrition went from near zero to a non negligible number
Are they doing anything to try and slow the attrition? How are people reacting to the changes?
That plus increased base pay for everyone plus a general change in culture, perf reviews and pretty much most things -- for better or for worse.
