Hi. Recruiter reached out for a Senior Associate role within Uber ops. Only thread I see with similar title is from several years ago. Anybody familiar with expected TC? Others on Blind mentioned Uber ops has low pay so trying to gauge the opportunity. Thank you! YOE: 5 TC: $125K UPDATE: Recruiter gave the following range for the role. I asked for $165K TC. BASE: $112K - $118K RSU (over 4 years): $50K - $60K Target Annual Cash Bonus: $12K TOTAL TC: $137K - $145K Equity Refresh: ? Recruiter would not give historical ballpark of equity refresh and pushed hard on the value of the benefits. But said that TC should be in range of $160K in the end. MBA / no-MBA also does not affect the compensation. #corpfinance #finance
Your TC should be higher at Uber than your current pay
Thank you. If recruiter asks expectations, you think 160k is a good point?
OP, 200k+ minimum, but that would still be much lower than a L5A SWE.
Location?
Role listed multiple options but I am picking NYC
I guess you all got a notification at once 😂
I think tc 160-180 for NY sounds right
Worked in ops. Everyone's estimates sound super high unless they are including stocks and bonus. L5 mgr in ops in HCOL area east coast was 119ish for base a year ago. L4 was 112ish and L3 somewhere between 90 and 95. A senior associate should be in that L4 range for base.
You are right. Recruiter said 112-118 as base. Full TC breakdown in my other comments

As far as benefits go - the medical made it worthwhile for me. I have a lot of medical issues so paying like 22 a check for 0 deductible is great. They cover 50 sessions of mental health thru Lyra and if you're someone who wears glasses/contacts you can get both in a calendar year. Also for dental the maximum amount covered is double the amount of anywhere I've seen (outside of the huge tech companies). ESPP is a good deal I think and the monthly uber credits + Amex uber credits reduced my grocery bill. Also the fitness credits can be used on almost anything and you can roll over the credits if you just want to make one big purchase. Those are random benefits that were worthwhile for me. When i was promoted to L4 my refresh was about 30k over 4 years and had an additional one time refresh of about 10k over 2 years. Dunno if that's coming back. Also my initial RSU when hired as L3 were 52k/4yrs. So prob push for more RSU.
Thank you for the very detailed response! Recruiter told me they believe in "equitable compensation" and do not want people to get paid more because they are "better negotiators".
For what it's worth - if you don't already have a tech name on your resume, uber would present a lot of great future ops opportunities.
Can you share some more info about the role? But in general uber ops pay is low.
Strategy and planning role within community operations
Base should be in the same salary range as your tc rn
