What’s the uber WLB like these days in HQ? I like working hard but also like to take vacations once in a while that rejuvenate me to come back and work hard again. Do you get guilt tripped when you take vacation? I took approx 4.5 weeks (counting weekends) last year very strategically spaced out (ex 1 week here, long weekend there, 1.5 week x2 etc). It was nice - I always felt more productive when I got back + I more than hit my targets / goals for the year. Worried about burn out and/or missing precious years with older generations of the family - don’t want to be regretting less time spent with family later in life but also don’t wanna just chill/coast otherwise I’d stay at my current job
Ridesharing marketplace is the OG. Eats, Freight, Bikes marketplace are built on top of the rideshare. That said, nobody cares if you take vacation as long as shit is done. You might get some teams that are sprinting to a deadline but they should all plan around vacation
Thanks! That’s great to know!
Would you recommend one marketplace over another? Is there an exodus from rideshare to the other marketplaces?

I would recommend Uber eats marketplace rather than the ride sharing one. The ridesharing one is very mature now.
Thanks for sharing your opinion! Are you saying that bc there are more interesting opps in the non rideshare marketplace or because of opps for growth there?
There are more opportunities for growth in non ridesharing business. Eats is now the clear winner among all the other businesses that Uber started. It is also not as established as ride sharing. So tons of opportunities to grow faster there.
