What kind of traits, life/work philosophies are appreciated at Uber? What kind of things do bar raiser interviewers evaluate for?
Use the word “bro” a lot, use your travel card to buy yourself personal meals, put dates with women/men on your calendar for others to see as well as block out your gym time. Make sure you wear cologne and smoke so others always know you were in the elevator. Talk shit about everyone on your team then congratulate them on Linkedin as often as you can.
Potential for sexual harassment maybe
“No brilliant jerks” is a hiring philosophy I hear recruiters say a lot. Obviously it’s the “jerks” part that’s problematic, not the brilliance ;) What else...within the company, “act like an owner” and “we do the right thing period” are some of the most important cultural norms. Couple others too but you get the idea.
+1 to no jerks. That’s the main thing they filter on
They need to up the filter game
Collaboration is a new cultural value since Uber 2.0
