For my Uber onsite, they’ve mentioned one coding, one software design using OOP, one architecture and 2 rounds with managers (bar raiser and hiring manager) which can also include design components. Overall it looks a bit too design heavy to me. Is that really the case? Any tips to prepare? I’m not particularly good at OOP design since I’ve been preparing mostly for Leetcode style coding and general system design. TC: 200k
what is your YoE?
It’s usually 2 coding and one system design/architecture. Are you a front-end or mobile developer?
It’s the same for me and then there are bar raiser and hiring manager rounds in addition but the prep doc from recruiter mentions that these latter rounds can also have design components. Btw I’m a backend engineer.
Yes, that’s standard but the hiring manager and bar raiser do not ask complex design questions. That’s not the purpose of these interviews.
Design uber system :) . That is very common question . You need to read paper from uber

Buy this course from educative.io called Grockking the System Design Interview. It’s life changing. Trust me!
