How is the layoff process going at Uber? Is everyone keeping their heads down and hoping they won't get next one to let go? Are they laying off a lot of engineers or other staff such as sales... Good luck to you all. The job market is good, so don't worry about finding another job.

Hopefully no one is miserable. Layoffs are great for a large group of people. It either means a long paid vacation (sometimes very long) or being double paid. Uber employees are highly employable.

I am sure a lot of people laid off are good people and they have my sympathies. But if even one of them is one of the TC touting assholes who comment on all the posts to say how other people's offers suck, to them I have only one thing to say - so long suckersss.
Email in the morning said if you have a meeting later today you’re effected. Pretty bummed mood all around. Not seeing a clear pattern to the type of people being let go, some design, some middle management, some eng.
surprised they are doing it at end of day instead of immediately. would make for an excruciating day.
Wasn’t end of the day, most of the people new around 11am that they were probably gone when they saw a random meeting with a manager and then have it confirmed in the meetings which varied between 12-2
