Interviewed with Uber 2 days ago for SWE. Did quite well on 4 rounds. Screwed up the 5th (coding) round. Read somewhere that the interview panel usually give benefit of doubt if a candidate performs under par in the last round. Uber hiring managers: is there a kernel of truth to that assumption?
If it was for senior and you screwed coding most likely No.
Makes se. thanks.
What's your yoe? What position was it?
13, SWE, probably L5.
How many coding rounds did they do? I had 2 relatively easy coding questions .... everything else was system design and past projects. Even the coding interviews spent 45 min on past projects and system design.
Did you get an offer?
Don’t know yet ... they haven’t gotten back since it has just been under 2 days.
2 coding rounds.
how long since onsite to the time you hear back result
Can you give details of each coding round? Like what were you asked in each round?
What level of interviews LC med/hard? System design?
Medium.
