I messed up at the start of the interview… i asked few clarification questions after they pasted the question but i misunderstood the question a bit and started explaining my logic to solve… 10 mins down the line, interviewer clarified it and i just said i had totally misunderstood it and was solving the little diff thing. Then started solving the actual problem… which i think i did okay but did not solve edge cases. Even after all of this - i had a working solution and my communication for explaining part was good. I expect full on reject but how long before i get that? Even if theres tiny chance to move onsite then i want to prioritize uber before say docusign and other small players. 62 190k #swe #messedup #engineering #software

To answer your question, I got a confirmation I am going onsite the very next day. Don’t stress about it too much.
What were the questions like? LC medium? Can I DM? I have tech screen there soon.
Medium - leaning to little hard. Sure dm
Going from Microsoft to Uber, you didn’t miss out on much, try again elsewhere!
Did you have a codesignal before this?
No
@jumpshipn op did you get a referral? Ask your friend to push a bit.
No i did not. Still curious.. how would they push it in case i had one? Like messaging recruiter?
Yes that is what I meant I have done it for my friends
Don’t worry, if you have a working solution, you are having good chances for onsite.
It should come pretty soon.
Yeah i got reject… glad that they gave decision fast actually.
