Anything happened at Uber? I’m currently interviewing three different positions at Uber. After the first call with the Hiring Manager, he said the next step would be an exercise and my recruiter would send me this case study shortly. After two days, I followed up with the recruiter, still no answer. Second position, after the initial talk with hiring manager, the next day I was scheduled with another team member. They said they would need to put a pin here due to some sort of internal shifts. Anyone else experienced these before? Is it due to my performance?
Recruiters in every company are stretched too thin. Keep following up and be polite unless you know for sure that they are slacking off!
It happened with me last week at uber. The recruiter told that i would be coming to onsite but then stopped responding. I sent mail twice. Frankly, its insulting. Why recruiters cant reply with a harmless no.
Oh this is weird. I have onsite coming, but in the same boat, not yet scheduled yet. It's been 3 days.
Did my CoderPad session over the phone with Uber the other day, guy said he would write down really positive feedback and I'd hear next steps. Recruiter thanks me for my time.
It’s due to massive turnover Lot just recruiters, can’t find enough people for interview panels. LoL.
Blitz what is driving the turnover, isn’t the company going public next year turning lots of ppl into millionaires?
This can't be further from truth. Absolute rubbish. Engineers are busy. Top talent is lining up to join Uber at this point! surprised!? Maybe just be patient. My team needs at least 3 senior engineers and preferably one senior 2 and it has been more than 6 months and we still haven't filled these vacancies. Hope this helps.
My interview experience was pretty bad. Had phone screen two weeks back, nailed both coding and high level system design but at the end got rejection. On other hand good experience with Google, Microsoft etc.
You probably didn’t do as well as you think you did. If you aced it why would they not move forward? It’s always hard to gauge interview performance as a candidate.
Because we ran the code including test cases and everything. High level design can be subjective but still I was not expecting rejection. Idk the reason but being in this field and also on the other side of the interview panel sometimes its not really hard to predict results.
