I have an offer from another company and I completed the phone screen at Uber. My recruiter promised feedback in less than a day but still no word from rec. should I continue pinging them or ignore and move on? I believe I had done well on the phone screen. 2 mediums, solved within time. I realize I’m the Nth victim of that based on other threads, but thought I should seek advice anyway.
Keep harassing the incompetent recruiter
Maybe they are not working there anymore? Recruiters have incentives to hire people, so either they deemed you performance not great, or they don't work there anymore or they are just overwhelmed/disorganized. In any case reaching out would be helpful.
Think I can safely rule out your first q because I spoke to the person right before the interview, haha. But yeah, I get your point. I’ve tried emailing but didn’t get any response, which is why I made the post to see if it’s fruitful to continue pinging or just forget about it.
ubet recruiters might be the worst among all my interviews
Same with interviewers too . Some interviewers forget to give feedback when the interview goes well
Recruiter here (not at Uber), but I would specifically say in your email that you have another offer that is expecting a response from you. Don’t hesitate to say I need to know by Friday otherwise I will have to withdraw from consideration. If they’re interested they will get back to you stat.
Did mention that, but low key would want to work at Uber the most out of all pending processes and offers. Definitely don’t want to withdraw, but yes I did mention to them that I have an offer (hence their promised sub 24 hour response, which is bothering me)
Update all: got rejected despite crushing the phone interview. As mentioned before, there were 2 questions and I got the optimal solution with all tests passing. Still no dice. 🤷🏻♂️
Sorry to hear that. Waiting on feedback from uber myself, today is a full week from last interview
Lol Lyft people all wanna work at Uber. So jelly. Sorry OP that sounds dumb
Recruiters are often space cadets. I frequently have to remind them to follow up on prior commitments
