Is Amazon really that bad if you work 60-80 hour weeks anyway?

Particularly interested in Palo Alto offices. What are benefits or perks at Uber/Lyft? ex free food, gym, ride credit My friend will choose job between two companies purely based on this. He thinks these are the keys to day to day happiness. Btw is it true that food at Uber is like Panda Express?
I have friends at Uber and went for a lunch there couple times. Got standard catered food in boxes: rice, noodles, chicken, salad, etc. I.e., some cheap crap. One friend shared a life-hack: since there’re no dinners beyond HQ (and he’s from Seattle), he would take a spare to-go box during lunch and save extra food in it for the dinner. And btw, if you stay past 7pm at work, you can expense Uber eats. What a perk!
Uber credits can be used for eats
It’s true that Uber hot food is bad 80% of the time. But it’s free and the salad bar is ok. No gym but Uber gives you money to pay for gym membership. $200 ride credit, 17% off rides.
Specifically $70/month for health and wellness credit. If not gym, you can use it towards other stuff like smart watch etc as long as it's remotely health related.
Uber offices are like crap cuz they’re renting all offices in the city. Once they have finished building their own campus in a couple years they should be able to compete with other top companies perk wise
Uber 17% off applies to Ubereats as well. It’s like the best thing ever, means it’s almost same cost or lower as eating at restaurant. I just order Uber eats on weekends now.
I'm jealous. We get a $5 credit off caviar one time only when joining Square.
Lyft gets leftover food from San Francisco’s numerous soup kitchens, and serves it for lunch the next day. What doesn’t get eaten in the headquarters is saved, shuttled to Palo Alto and re-heated for lunch the following day. Overall, I think your friend will be happier at Uber.
At least it’s free tho
There's company phone with global roaming. Also annual $800 health fund for apple watch, gym, massage, etc. Food is worse than panda express sometimes, as Panda can be quite tasty :)
Why doesn't your friend register on here, take responsibility, and post here himself? Uber/Lyft managers don't like that behavior otherwise.
I’m interested in this as well so posted it. And who cares about what Uber/Lyft managers think?! But if there is sugar under their balls, please let me know FastPapuan >.^
I wouldn't know, just don't be surprised when he's fired.
