Got this ad on Instagram and went to check it out. Says a 30 day course is "92% off", from 200 bucks down to about 15. The content itself looks actually good and just what I need as a foundation to those topics. But I saw terrible reviews about Udemy in general. Question is: is it worth it? Is it a waste of time/money or is there some value in it, even if there's no support from instructors? https://www.udemy.com/the-data-science-course-complete-data-science-bootcamp/
I love udemy.... this course looks pretty sick, I am gonna go buy it and give it a shot
There is a site some where which gives you free udemy courses
I just liked this class in particular based on the fundamentals of python, ML and DS. 15 bucks isn't bad either.
True but say you want to learn flutter and want to watch 3 courses back to back at 3x speed. 45 bucks would be huge in that case. Hence that some site would be helpful
Udemy courses are 99% of the time are discounted
Lol right? I got refresh page and the price went down a bit more..
Udemy is a great resource. Really smart people teach.
I teach on Udemy. It's a platform, so all depends on the instructor you buy course from. Can be good, can be bad. Udemy itself is just a platform for instructors to post courses. Don't trust discounts. We, instructors, can set prices to be $100. But Udemy still will sell them for $12-15 on regular, and sometimes for $9.99. So never pay full price. If you like the course but the price is full without the discount, just reach out to the instructor on linked in and ask for a coupon.
I like Udacity and Coursera better, but again I may be biased
What do you base your opinion on? Did you take any of these? What did you like/dislike about them?
Yeah I've used Udacity a lot, they have a very good community, mentorship program, careers so you get advice and possible referrals - Coursera Andrew Ng intro to machine learning is the best MOOC for ML, but again I only took that course at coursera
