Unpopular Opinion - Amazon is great for productive engineers
Amazon is a great place to work for the productive and efficient engineers, we don’t need 50 year old SWE spending all morning checking emails without a single diff getting the same pay as 21 year old pumping out milestone goals. Like they need to leave at 3pm to pick up their kids, really? 3pm are designed for 1 hour shouting matches about architecture design. It’s like these boomers don’t even enjoy programming since they never attend the weekend hackathons I created. Sometimes I purposely reject their diff on the weekend nights for small variable naming conventions. These boomers might have a better life working as PM or Agile Coach at shit places like IBM or USAA and bring real engineers their lunch and dinner. No wonder they all go to Microsoft, because they’re micro and soft under there at their age. If you can’t 996 you don’t deserve to be titled the prestigious FAANGMULASS SWE. Right guys...? I love Amazon they let us dedicated employees wfh on weekends. #amazon #wlb #microsoft
