Congrats!
OP. Needless to say, congrats are in order. Since you were not expecting it, have you thought of what you will like to do with the extra $$?

I’m surprised how positive blind is being. Good job! And congrats!
I guess no equity refresh and no hike in salary
Startups giving bonuses is a sign of trouble.
Why?
Venture Capital needs to used for growth , at series A everyone should just work on increasing the valuation of their equity grant. Salaries of early employees typically get adjusted to FMV after sustained profitability and funded growth plan. When startups spend venture money towards bonuses, lavish employee appreciation treats , starts buying prime marketing slots , typically it's a sign of worry (less substance and brute valuation push ). It seldom stays alive for positive liquidation.
My Series a start up handed out a lot of cash bonuses. We ended up having a $750 million exit. Though it is only one data point.
200% bonus as in 200% of your base salary? Or 200% as in double your bonus? Those are very different things.
Former will be crazy and highly unlikely... Either way it’s great yea? if all employees got it vs the top 1%...
Double the assigned target bonus percentage
