Hi everyone...
I have been offered a position at Austin Tesla Giga factory as a Controls Technician and I'm still waiting for the compensation proposal. I'm a controls Engineer with 15 YOE and I have been wondering how much would I have to expect or ask for this position. Thanks

$100k equity
I was badly surprised with that offer, taking into account that it is located in Austin which is more expensive than the city were I live now, and they just offered a 5k relocation bonus with no sign-on bonus. Also, benefits are almost inexistent in the offer.
I'm an engineer with more than 15 YOE, I understand that I only have 3 YOE in USA, but that doesn't mean that I have lost my others 12 YOE. The recruiter told me that he was gonna try to get a better offer, however, taking into account that this is a L2 position as he said to me, I think this position is a very low salary capped one and he won't be able to cover the huge gap between his offer and my present salary, but less my other offer.
Sad because I wanted to be part of this big brand, but definitely, this kind of offers are a joke.
