Using Laptop for coding questions at Amazon interview
Have onsite on Friday. They say you can bring your personal laptop and use it for coding questions instead of whiteboard. They use some kind of online coding environment. Anyone used laptop at Amazon interview?

I wasnโt allowed to bring my own laptop but I was provided one on the day of my interviews. Iโd prefer a laptop any day over whiteboard.

Yes, it helps. Writing on whiteboard is slower than typing on a laptop. I have done interviews remotely and I can't see the board clearly sometimes. The online tool will really help you to code better because moving code, refactoring, etc is just easier, impossible on a whiteboard.

Why? Typing if faster that write and easier to edit. Plus I have a messy handwriting.
Talk to your recruiter beforehand if you feel that way. Donโt surprise them on the day of the interview
