Got an offer from a GCP team at Google. Heard bad things about this. Is it really that bad?

Google talent donβt want to transfer to GCP but GCP folks would love to move to Google.
Make your next move carefully.
GCP just laid off its whole USA support operation to move the service offshore to India..... its leadership is ex Oracle so get used to that.
Really, when you say that you have a choice to choose non-GCP orgs...... its not even a choice - go for the non-GCP orgs already.
However, as bad as that seems - I know first hand that Amazon / AWS is worse... so that should at least sweeten the pill.
My thinking is: I don't have any visa issue so if the working environment is bad I'd just leave anyway. Might as well try developing new products in GCP.
at Facebook there's not much process and that's pretty good actually. Just do whatever that moves your project forward.
