Currently I am planning to go for a MS in ECE in US taking the VLSI specialization.

But I have also heard that in India there are good amount of job opportunities and growth in VLSI and after a time the company will pay you to study part time Masters. I would like to know how much correct is this and if I am missing out on anything by not working and studying in US for VLSI.

(specifically computer architecture and chip design)

And how much masters degree plays in career growth like principal engineer

I would say, come to the US, get into companies that have a presence in India and get an internal transfer after some years (Pretty much all but Apple and Microsoft and Meta).
The reason being, you get to keep your US granted stocks which are generally higher than India grants.

I have heard a lot of innovation happens in the main office of the company which is USA for many, and most of the small work is outsourced. How true is this?

Quite true but that is changing since India is a big enough hub for HW nowadays. Work which they do is in no way less innovative or meaningful.

Everyday I have to work with jerks from Random enginner colleges went to US for Master's. But getting 2x-3x of my salary. Most of the VLSI work is happening in India only. And Mostly Indians are driving this be it US or India.

How are they earning 2x-3x your salary? Is it because of their Masters degree? Also I wanted to know how important is a Masters degree in VLSI, I have heard it's an experience driven field. So as I am switching to Hardware do you recommend I pick up a hardware job in india and continue or go for Masters in US instead for career growth?
