Hi guys I interviewed at VMware in Nov. 2019, travelling from North California and flew there but still didn’t receive reimbursement, which is above 100usd. I tried to contact the human resource in charge of this but he/she seems to not give a d about this. Any advice for me to have my reimbursement back? I didn’t expect VMware to be such a slow company though. People interviewed at the same time has already received their reimbursement except me. Thanks! It seems I can only resort to here for advice.
Are you kidding
eBay are you aware that every company reimburse you for onsite?
It's good decency for a company to reimburse you for your time. If they don't then what's point in working for them..
Vmware is pretty bad at conducting interviews and with candidates... their hr system is a mess ...
Did you get the offer?
Leave it dude. Why bother so much for 100 bucks. It happens sometimes.
Got a check for reimbursement from VMware but it was returned for ‘Stop Payment’. Not only did I not get reimbursed I was charged an additional 12$ by my bank. Thank God I did not accept their offer.
Wow.
Where are you located, and where was your interview with VMware? If you're coming from Santa Clara and you interviewed at VMware's campus in Palo Alto, for instance, I'm not surprised they won't reimburse you. In general, if you're traveling less than the medium-length commuting distance or within the same metropolitan area, that's going to be treated as an in-town interview, and you're going to be expected to handle getting yourself there.
Well, location is not the concern in this post, and I supplemented location information just now. I flew there and there are reimbursement documents beforehand.
You are not alone. I interviewed at their November Event from East Coast, coming back and forth with their shitting Coupa system, and the Reimbursement person Kxxxxa stop replying my email since mid Jan. My uber/lyft from/to airport, meal($35/day) and checked baggage has not been reimbursed. It is terrible, I feel lucky not accepting their offer.
Aha. Probably you should accept it, since there seems to be no PIP in HR, so does engineering people? 🤣
You took checked baggage for an interview? 😂
If it's been over a monthit could be that an Approver in the chain may be from a team that was affected by the recent reorgs. You may need to resubmit and ask recruiter or hiring manager to make sure they don't need a replacement approver.
Thanks. It is just that specific HR not doing their work.
