Is VMware really that much screwed now ? Heard they started doing layoffs every year now. With stock not moving much is it worth it ?
Again.?
They had laid off previously I remember in 2020. I just saw a post by a Dell guy who got laid off. Seems the layoff cycle begins again.
They are laying off twice a year for years, nothing new. They don't have performance reviews, so they just lay off those who they need to get rid of. They usually lay off a very little numbers.
How can a firm operate without perf reviews? This is worse than Amazon 😂
I have 5 YOE in tech and haven’t had one. This is exactly how it works
Recruiter contacted me for interviews but given layoff history I don’t feel like interviewing there
Ask them how much they could.pay? If it is huge difference take it! As far as I know, if you want a better experience tc than vmw you should crack FAANG or startup. Vmw has amazing severance, if impacted take it and prepare and leave.
is there a specific BU where the layoffs are high or across all units it's like this ? also without perf review how r they giving hikes ?
How is NSBU in Vmware? I am interviewing soon there.
VMware layoffs are a non issue , they are budget related not generally performance related unless you’re senior management that has outlived your welcome …
Terrible company. Good for a first job, but if you have options you should never choose here. Staff engineers are jokes.
