Given that somebody don't mind the bad wlb and they are hyper motivated to work hard and climb the career ladder no matter what, tell me why that person should choose Google Cloud or Azure over AWS? AWS is miles ahead when it comes to cloud services and it is unlikely that either google or microsoft will be ever able to catch up to AWS. Furthermore, Amazon has all the resources and money in the world to continue to grow and innovate. If the future is cloud×2, Amazon is going to do amazing and therefore their stocks will go to the moon. Besides, Amazon is not just into cloud, they are in practically everything. Heck they have been doing a lot of crypto lately.
Edit: To summarize the question, as an SDE if tomorrow i get an offer from GCP with 40% salary hike why would I consider the short term gain, given the long term opportunity I may have with AWS?

I'm L5 at Google, and my last refresher was $140k. I get around that every year, regardless of stock growth.
For retail,, it's all about the revenue. Historically, revenue drove the stock price for Amazon. That's coming to an end now, with overall revenue growing under 10%.
Though, as someone who has only worked with non-direct competitors, I agree that AWS trumps all other cloud platforms.

And there's nothing amazing about building a new region or rolling out security patches.
Heck you don't even have to boomerang or stay in the cloud business.
