JPMC recruiter is trying to lowball me.
Hello Guys,
Can you please help me how should I handle below situation?
I interviewed at JP Morgan Chase in last week. Total 4 interviews, 2 went really well with SDE and 2 with solution engineer was not that great. Position I applied to is Software Developer.
Before starting process, recruiter told me that they will interview me for Senior Associate role (602), but after interview recruiter is saying 2 interviewers are okay with my 602 level and other 2 interviewers are okay with 601 title. (I suspect Solution Engineering guys want me to be at 601, even though I wont be working with them directly).
I got verbal offer and recruiter is offering me less salary that my current salary saying that it is what he can do for 601 position. What all are my options here?

What’s your location?
Barclays is known for a higher base but lower bonus. Vice versa for JPMC. Bonus here is around 10-15% for associates.
I am in NJ, new position is in NJ
I expect this year will be really poor on bonus as well.
120k for 601 isn’t terrible. But it is lowball for 602 by about 30-40% without bonus or stock.
I am just thinking my current company pays me more, then why would I take risk of visa transfer?
Just for Name? Even Barclays is not bad name in that sense.
