  All h1b’s who pass substantial presence test i.e., people who are here on legal non-immigrant visa for more than or equal to 183 days are considered resident aliens for tax purposes. So, all h1b’s who meet the income requirement are eligible for stimulus checks. Period. tomcruis@medtronic is absolutely wrong. Please disregard his above statements.
