Those of you who are/were employed by private companies, question about how to value stock options. Since there's no stock ticker to know the value compared to the strike price, how should I quantify the value of my options ($150k worth at $10 share price). As I've been interviewing with other companies, I've had multiple (public) companies give me a hard time providing anything in return for the options, since I can't provide them a hard value. My company has an equity system, but it doesn't provide any live share prices.
