Im new to the investment game. I have my brokerage account with fidelity through Microsoft. Im looking to invest in index funds 40% Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund 30% Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund 30% Vanguard Total Bond Market Index Fund But all these Vanguard index funds does not take any new investors when i tried using fidelity website. Any suggestions of how to get into these vanguard index funds. What are the better alternatives if above is not possible TC: 220k YOE: 6
Look for vanguard etf equivalents. They are supported for any amounts
Is that the only way or alternative ?
For example vti is total us stock market
Honestly, you should open account from Schwab, they have better UI and more importantly - lower expense ratio. Message me if you got more questions.
I would advise going for ETFs. They have lower expense ratios and no minimum any requirements. Also trades are commission free.
Can you get vsmax
Check out the bogleheads wiki. Look up the three fund portfolio.
Yup that was what i was looking. But those funds dont take any new investors anymore
I already checked that. As these are new funds which were created only 6 months before, no one knows how the returns are going to be
You can guess based on their holdings. If it’s a s&p500 fund you can assume it will be near identical to the s&p500
If you are using fidelity, search for FZROX, and FZILX for the first two. They are zero expense funds. I don’t know if they have zero fee index funds for bonds. If this is a taxable account, take a look at municipal bonds, that are tax free. They track indexes and should perform close enough to those.
FBGRX is a blue chip fund with no initial barrier and average fees through fidelity

Maybe reduce bond by 10-20% if you’re young ;)
