Hi Blinders,
I am an Indian citizen. I need to get my H1B stamped as I previously entered on F1 and changed my status to H1B in 2020. I am currently in US and I need to visit india this December. There are absolutely no appointments in india right now and given the number of people in backlog, I am not sure if I’ll get an appointment until Mar-Apr. Can I get my H1B (first time) stamped in Singapore? I have a visitor visa to Singapore and Singapore is currently accepting vaccinated travellers from US.
Anyone did their first stamping in a third country successfully? Any advice on how to make the case to the consular officer? Given the COVID craziness, are consular officer more lenient toward TCN applicants?
Thanks!

It is advisable to do it in home country because in future you qualify for dropbox.
Also, did you check if US consulates in Singapore are allowing stamping for non-Singapore citizens?
