I have my Firmware Engineer interview loop and I am really freaking out as I haven't really interviewed in the past 4 years. Any pointers on where to start revising, start practicing coding, concepts, designs etc. I would really appreciated it.
If you are saying just do LC, please also describe what kind. I honestly believe that if their decision relies on a Firmware/Embedded Dev solving a heap/dynamic problem, maybe that's not the right team for me (for any FW/Emb engineer for that matter).
I am starting with a refresher on:
1. Bit Manipulation
2. Arrays, Linked Lists and related questions which would prove understanding
3. I2C, SPI, UART - limiting myself to recent protocols I have used at work as me as an interviewer doesn't expect the candidate to know about a very important concept X, which they last used 10 years ago, probably in school and is theory dependent.
Help me out!
Personal Reason: I understand everyone needs and wants to make more money but I have had my dip here at Microsoft and my manager has no plans for RSU or promotions as they are coasting here at Microsoft. Given that the Feedback at Microsoft is taking away employee powers, I believe I have to get out. I need to make more money to support family who has had the worst year ever, 2021, illness, deaths, fire at home, COVID and the hospital bills.

They need to know if you are a bit flexible out of Embedded / FW domain because at these big corps, there are some tasks from time to time that become high priority and would like all hands on deck. So do practise LC mediums (possibly Meta tagged).
Ask your recruiter about interview and what to expect. They will be able to provide you some context.
FW stuff you mentioned in the post seems good to start. Also try to get some understanding of SMMU/IOMMU and things like inter processor communication, boot flows, etc.
I never see positions open up, I’d look right now
