Verizon vs Tmobile - not much of a difference

I have been a tmobile customer for almost 5 years and just switched to Verizon a month ago. I thought Verizon has a better service with all their marketing gimmicks but i thought wrong.

The performance: between tmobile and Verizon I don't see that much of a difference really from streaming videos, network coverage while traveling to NYC on the metro north.

Maybe I switch back to Tmobile after 6 months

  • If you go camping or anything you’re better off with Verizon. If you never leave the major cities T-Mobile is great

  • It depends on where you are

    • In Metro areas it’s more of a density Problem, not a coverage problem. Crowded airspace.

Verizon has more coverage. Tmo 1 bar places has VZ at 2 bars. Places where Tmo has no bars VZ can have full bars.

VZ is better if you’re a outdoor kind of person.

Why one would switch to Verizon from T-Mobile.
T-Mobile offers 50 Gb of high speed data per month, airplane WiFi. Whereas Verizon is 💩

we have coverage problem in some more rural areas

but honestly our deal is pretty fucking good for metro areas. Altho funny enough I think metro by tmo has a richer deal, despite being prepaid.

People will laugh, but I've been a Sprint customer for over a decade. My partner, Verizon. I pay half as much, service is mostly the same (albeit the occasional roam) when in remote places... But I don't really want service out there anyway

That actually makes Google Fi the better deal.

Eh, I would pay more. My data usage is around 20 gb/mo and I pay less than $60/mo including taxes and fees + free hulu.
