Hi guys, question about the facebook background check. Do I have to send Hireright all employment in past 7 years? I only put the 3 coz thats the minimum and the rest of employment is outside US.

Also i also put a mistake of a date in one of my employment history and i just got back the background check status and it flagged that particular employment.

Should i be worried? Should i take the initiative to talk to Hireright or Facebook to make sure everything is ok?

Yes. I would go to Hireright in person to sort it out. Ideally, bring your paystubs and dental X-rays

Don't worry about it, they'll let you know if they really need clarification

  • From my experience, if hireright flagged something as unverifiable (such as having worked at a startup that’s now no longer around) or any discrepancies, you’ll have to clear it up by providing supporting docs, and this is for anything you’ve put into hireright and in your resume.

For me, I had one thing unverifiable though hireright completed my review after a couple of weeks and I started fb.

About a month in, someone from HR followed up with me saying there was that unverified item and I need to send her supporting docs ASAP.

I only have 1 discrespancy... which is the length of employment of 1 company. I put in jan instead of jun in hireright (i know... silly me)... also i did not put all companies in my 7 years of employment... anyways going for a talk with my recruiter to clear those up.

Serious: they can’t check what they don’t know. Anything you put on your resume or job application, put on HireRight. This includes schools you received a degree from. Leave the rest off.

Anywhere you lived (city/state) include that because they’ll see that anyway.

Provide copies of degrees, paystubs (black out your actual $$) or W2s (black out actual $$) if you can, this will speed it up significantly.
