Last week I accepted a counter offer as my team was able to meet my external offer. It is but ackward in meetings now a days. Should I worry about it or continue to work at normal? Interested in hearing from people who have accepted counter offer.

I accepted a counter once. I still left the company though several months later. Then a couple months after that, my ex-boss called me to inform me he was awarding me an annual bonus. I was surprised and told him he didn't need to do that. He said I was a part of that year's effort and he wanted to reward me.
A counter offer means your leadership team values you. I have been told by a manager that the easiest way to get a TC bump is bringing a competing offer. They can also try and get you SSA etc. but it is a lot of effort for so little money ( say 50k over 5 years). Many teams also have HR budget allocated for counter offers. So it easier to get it approved.
I don’t know why blind considers accepting a counter offer is bad. Atleast at microsoft this shouldn’t be considered bad.
They pay the least amount required. Microsoft will adjust your pay if you move to a different location (even if you continue doing the same job for the same team and same manager)
If you didn't announce, then no need to feel awkward.
