Failed simple binary tree re-order question

Idk man. Sometimes these tech interviews are so frustrating. I have good grasp on all DS&A. But in the timed situation like these, my mind goes completely blank if I see new type of questions. This damn question is not in leetcode either. :(

Landing a job at a nobody's ever heard of you company is like trying to get laid at a bar. You'll get 1 out of 3 interested enough to flirt with you, 1 out of 5 to make out with you and 1 out of 10 to polish your knob behind a trash can out back, it will be unsatisfying and God forbid you brought it home with you, the morning after will be nothing but disappointments for everyone. But 1 time out of 50 you'll come across this smoking hotness that speaks your language and finishes your sentences. She may not be Bella H or Kendall J. Let's be real, she'll be more like Elle King, but she'll be just right for you.

  • Sometimes, it's just not your day. We all have our off days. Learn what you can from the interview and move on.

FYI I screwed up an online assessment from Airbnb that was just Dijkstra's algorithm cuz my brain refused to work that day. Got multiple FAANG offers a few weeks later. Shit happens. πŸ™ˆ

    Happens sometimes. Onward!

There are hundreds of other companies out there yet to interview and reject you. So let's keep moving.

Seriously though, you have to internalize that this isn't a rejection or an assessment of your engineering chops. It's a game lost. So onward to the next game.

BTW, I've felt good 'rejecting' companies after I passed their phone screen. Try it, it's empowering. You realize it's not condescension, just business.

Youve got to leave your emotions at the door when hearing interview feedback. If you can't, they you ain't ready yet. You need to keep your wits about you for the next interview and for everything else in your life.
