I personally love the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme. Apple MBP 16" makes sense if you love Apple. What are your preferences?

    I have a hard time justifying paying 2x for a laptop because of brand. those Macs run very hot as well. I would look at the xps personally

    • Run very hot, no f keys, keyboard objectively sucks

      Macbooks are not 2x the price of other top end laptops. there's a slight premium for sure but it is not significant, especially if you know someone at Apple who can hook it up with a 15-25% discount.

    For creative work, Apple ecosystem is just better. Gaming you can rely on bootcamp, though it's a bit annoying. The Thinkpad is a great laptop though, so if gaming is more important to you, or you prefer windows over ios, it will definitely so the job. Personally I just think coding environments are a mess on windows so I use a mac.
