Hey guys I recently got offers from Visa and Intuit. Which one I should consider? TC wise both are almost same.
Both evil companies IMO. I’d apply elsewhere.
What’s evil about visa? They help me buy things I want
They are the lesser of the two evils and thinking more about it the banks that issue Visa cards are the ones setting the terms and conditions which I feel are often abusive and designed to profit the most off of those in relative poverty or with poor financial control. So, I take it back. Visa permits evil to be done with what they produce. Whether they are then evil by the transitive property is a more nuanced question.
Don’t let crowdstrike fool you, payment processors are just middlemen scraping insane fees for minimal value added. Intuit is even worse, if you look at their lobbying and ethics
Yeah op should forgo money to hold up YOUR dubious ethical standard.

Neither is good. But if you dont have choice.. you can take one of them
TC or GTFO

Whichever people you liked better, in my opinion. Both are solid companies that are growing in good industries, but your happiness day to day will be dependent(to a certain degree) on the people around you. So go with your gut!! Mine always tells me that I want ice cream, and it’s always right.
To add to that, you need only a 15 min coversation with the manager of the team to get a sense of team culture. Pay attention to how they phrase their answers, their body language and where they stand on contentious issues (whichever those happen to be in your professional domain).
