Visa approved but admin processing
I had my interview at the New Delhi consulate on 29 th November 2019.Im transitioning from F1 to H1B.I was asked pretty basic questions like job duties,location and salary and the VO said my visa is approved and I should receive my passport in 3-5 business days.However when I check the visa status on the DS160 website it says Administrative Processing.Has anyone else faced this ? How long will it take to get my passport back ? Any insight would be much appreciated.
Every H1b stamping goes through admin processing. 95% get it within a week. But can take a month in some cases and very rare less than 0.1% cases take 2 months
Happened with me. Turned to approved after 4-5 hrs. Don't worry. I think it's one of stage in workflow.

It’s a sevis check if you were in F1. Nothing to worry.
