Visa transfer for new job FAANG
Hi, I received an offer from a FAANG company for a join date of May 1st. My H1b visa transfer is being done through BAL and they said they are going to file under premium processing on the 12th. I’m planning to join on receipt, not a software development role. Any thoughts on when I will get the receipt ? Also, I’m a little confused if BAL is going to file LCA on 12th or send documents to USCIS.
Why take the risk?
It’s a good offer and they gave a backup plan as a different country Incase the visa transfer goes south.
Op, which country did they offer the transfer to?
In PP, my friend got it in 4 days.
Thanks, yes I’m hoping that it gets approved soon. Though I’m a little concerned that April 12th date they gave me was the date of sending documents to USCIS and not filing LCA, if it’s the latter then approval may take long.
How long did it take for you to get a receipt after filing it with pp?

Approval came 5days after filing, attorney provided the receipt number from the check. So I submitted resignation after my approval, one week notice. Was a pretty close one !
Don't join on receipt. If filing in PP, it will approve very quick and you can join on approval in email.

Yes I’m hoping that between now and May 1st I have the approval, backup plan is if Incase it doesn’t get approved then they put me in a different country. If April 12th is LCA filing then approval may take longer than May 1st.
