Have been interviewing with a few start-ups and other companies for past one month. Been at Amazon for almost 5 years now. Definitely need a change. Got offer from curefit and discovery+ as of now.
Will break it down below for more clarity and fair comparison:
Curefit offer: Tech lead, 75lpa base + 30lacs esops (vesting over 4 years)
Discovery+ offer: SDE-3, 60lpa base+12lpa performance bonus + 2lacs joining bonus, 24K USD worth RSUs (vesting over 3 years)
No idea about Discovery's tech teams and culture as of now. May get exposure to the OTT tech stack but not sure about the projects landing in India as of now.
Heard good things about curefit's engineering culture and work. A lot of new initiatives are being taken post-pandemic in curefit.
Please help me decide.

Since they are expanding and scaling in various dimensions, now is the right time to build platforms for internal and operational tasks as well. They are not too heavy on documentation which I am insisting on a lot.
I can definitely see there is a lot of room for improvement. Good thing is they are open to experiment and try out new things. They are also experimenting with ML and AI.
And other thing that I appreciate is that each and every individual is empowered. Everyone's opinion matters. Obviously, approach is discussed and must be reasonable. I do understand that this is also because team size is not too big. But also, the project initiatives and proceedings are very transparent in nature. Product, Devs and even Ops contribute in planning and prioritizing the feature requirement.
I have not been here for too long. But I can definitely say the day starts on a positive note.
As per other blind posts, even for L6 engineer in Amazon, the total compensation is around 1 cr. So, the curefit offer is very much aligned with the big player's offerings.
I confirmed the acquisition news with curefit management. As per them, it's just another funding round. It has not been reported correctly by the media.
Generally asking, which OTT were you a part of? And any specific reason as to why you moved out?
Also, once the lockdown is over, the cult centres will be back in operation. And now they are expanding cult fitness centers to outside India as well.
I was doubtful as well but looks like they are exploring a lot of new areas because of this pandemic only.
And they are also in talks of raising another round of funding.
