I’ve received quite a bit of communication from Samsara recently (offering an interview for PMM).
I’m not interested in marketing, but would consider interviewing for PjM or PM.
I don’t hear much about this company though. Does anyone know what pay looks like? Outlook? Culture?

I feel like in the short/mediums term, outlook is pretty good. They are building the hardware to pull data from traditionally tech-averse industries (warehousing, trucking, etc.) and the software to process and visualize it so their customers get business value from the service. I’m personally bullish about these kind of companies because the less sexy the industry, the less spotlight and hype inflating the valuation. Particularly valuable in todays market.
Another thing I look at is the cofounder record, and Samsara is the second company the co-founders built. First one was Meraki which they sold to Cisco. So that’s another plus.
Long term tho, not to sure how they will cope with the fact that vehicles are “smarter” each year. Most companies will probably start harnessing the value of the data their vehicles generate and lock it into their own proprietary software.
Culture wise it also seems very business and sales focused. Not too much insight here tho, maybe someone from Samsara can chime in.
Samsara is not serving a sexy market like databricks/roblox/snowflake but that does not mean it won't grow. It's one of the youngest company to have IPO'ed (formed in 2015). We have already reached .5 Billion arr. The world of physical operations contributes a lot on the backend which you don't hear about day to day. You will soon see our market cap growth outperform faang or recent IPO'S.
TLDR: Outlook is pretty bright. The reason you don't hear much is that our users are mostly people working in blue-collar industries.
