Does Google compensate other companys bonus due to onboarding?
Hello Googlers,
I will be joining Google soon, from Google offer, there is no sign on bonus. at the same time, i realize if i start on the date from offer letter, i will not be able to collect annual bonus from my current company for last year. and for me, that money is not trivial. ~ 15 k.
should i mention this to Google and expect some compensation? Does Google ever do that? i know if leaving the current has a penalty, Google will pay for that. not sure about bonus tho
thanks guys
edit: i have already signed the offer and the numbers are finalized as of now. not sure if i bring this up to hr how he would react? will the manager know about this? or its only between hr and compensation committee?
my only concern is dont want appear too greedy on money in managers eyes. counting on good impression for future promotion.
