Posting from friends account, Currently I am at $210k, with 3 YOE, any ideas, which companies are paying more than $200k in Canada. Don't care about location, as it's gonna be all remote eh.

Got an interview lined up with Intuit, but I am betting they will lowball like $130k tk $150k

  • You don't even mention what industry you're in...

$200k TC for only 3 YOE isn't bad, go own a project and show initiative at your current company. Can't do that there? Then maybe move to a smaller startup and make a name for yourself. Build technical ownership, be the one people come to for help. Then shop around for Sr positions, brag about the value add or force multiplier you've become. Then you can demand huge TC numbers.

this is a surprisingly good answer and has the long term foresight. It’s much harder to do this at larger organization

I would bet Shopify is one of the best paying in Canada for developers (I'm assuming that's what you do), but no idea what they pay for L5ish. Maybe check pay bands for them online!

A lot of companies are hiring remote now, so it's definitively possible to crack 200k CAD. Facebook, Amazon, Instacart, Coinbase, Dropbox, etc..

Which level? It's hard to map from USD using levels.fyi. Also, in your experience, does it matter which city in Canada you are?
