What’s the best way to onboard faster in a new company? Are there any tools that are generally used in the industry?
New to the corporate world and hence asking. Considering a software engineer offer with a mid-sized company.

Organizing well is what you need. Any tools that help you do it are okay.

It's very common that you start reading a single doc and end up 10 tabs away from the original doc by following the links. Just try not to do this and organize things properly to get the most out of it

Asking a lot of questions helps. Often times there is pressure to self-explore, but i have always found that to be inefficient. Also, being okay not knowing everything helps - don’t stress about learning a product or pipeline you’ll never work on.

  • When you start, ask them to implant the anti-pip microchip. People on my team onboard about 70% faster with it.
