That's what bothered me the most. I was actually aiming for L3 as I didn't have any distributed systems knowledge, but it seems the recruiter was trying to move me forward for L4 (might be because of low headcount for L3).
At this point, I just hope to not have totally bombed my SD round.
You can growth in any role as long as you are good at it. What's your aspiration though? Keep being an IC? Manager? Tech lead?
