Automotive journalism is access journalism. It’s highly unlikely that you’re going to see any negative reviews.

FWIW, I’m not saying that the Mach-E is bad (or good). What I am saying is that you really can’t trust automotive “journalists”.

I like the Mach-E. I think it's the first real Tesla competitor. Spam incoming. I'd still pick a Model Y on range, charging network, and price (though Ford likely still qualifies for incentives). Mache-E probably wins in the looks department and I'm sure Ford won't have Tesla's quality issues. Mach-E loses 10 points for calling itself a Mustang.

Cool. Didn't expect anyone from that team to be here. You are probably right about range anxiety. I likely won't be exceeding 200 miles very often. I've been a Ford ICE fan so maybe I should drive the Mustang Mach-E before I decide. We're looking to replace an MKX. I doubt my local dealer will get it though but I assume bigger markets (Pittsburgh/Columbus OH) will get it in my area.

What about service? Are most dealers going to be equipped/trained to handle the Mach-E? That would be a major advantage.

It seems like a compelling offer and like I said the first real competitor. So +1 to the product team at Ford.

Finally, why the hell did Ford use the Mustang brand? Do you think it helps sell the Mach-E more than it dilutes the Mustang brand?

    • It’s a desperate effort to capitalize on the established brand.
It’s sad these OEMs are too proud to strike a deal with Tesla for using their charging network.
Of course it could be expensive than their existing charging partners, but they should seriously consider offering compatibility with Tesla’s charging points as additional option to address the range anxiety.

  • I have been a mustang fan for 5 years and also a Tesla technology fan for 7 years !!!

Tesla has ruled in the electric vehicle market for more than a decade now with model S,X and 3.

I absolutely loved the Mach e and think it is bringing in great competition in the market.

Looks great for sure, the power seems less for the weight, surely better built than the teslas.
