Anyone have any insight as to the culture and WLB at BCG DV in Los Angeles? Im in early interview stages with them and it's my first exposure to consulting type work, whereas most of my career has been in startup/tech as an in-house product designer. I have other prospects too at tech startups but I'm originally drawn to the idea of working on different projects every half year or so. Thanks!
Is this the office in Manhattan Beach? I used to work in the Wework in the same building and bcg gave me a douchey vibe.
Yes that one. What do you mean douche vibe?
It seemed brotastic. Like a fraternity
Any updates?
I was offered the posituon. The base salary was pretty low but total comp seemed okay, but they pay you once a month and I didn't know if I could handle the travel. 115k base with 15k sign on and 10% bonus plus some other things... I forget. I went with a startup instead, but since then I left the startup and BCG reached out again to see if I was still interested...
How many years of experience? 115k in LA is lowwww
I worked there for over a year in engineering. There is no WLB for designers at BCG DV. I’ve seen designers work till 3am and routinely pull all nighters. It’s a horrible place overall. Main reason is that they are in business of selling lies to their clients. And most lies need pretty pictures. So they have army of designer that have to work on every project manager and partners whims before their meetings with clients.
Christ... Thank you for that insight
